I am using the primary (and some secondary) research collected during BA7 to help get the style and shape of the models I will be creating. This is primarily a recap of the stage I am at after BA7.
Furnace:
I wish to use this reference image to create the furnace, which will be
the main focus of the scene, dwarfing many of the other objects. While
it will not be feasible to include all of the details, the main shape and feel of the object should be present in the final outcome.
Boiler:
The boiler design will be taken from all of the images below, working to make sure the object to fits within the overall scene. As the boilers are quite large, and multiple are required in a factory this will be another important object within the scene.
Windows:
Window shape is important, as they are one of the initial features to help set the style of the factory.
Crane:
This is the crane which will be used within the scene, trying to keep to the shape as much as possible. The primary use was for loading, so will try to fit it in where possible. This particular crane has a very distinctive and interesting shape.
Pouring Vat:
This model was created as extra work during BA7, and will be included in the BA8 project. The reference was used as inspiration for the final object.
Engine:
This interesting looking engine will form part of the track system within the scene, pulling the vat to another part of the factory. I wish to keep the quirky shapes, while adjusting parts of the model to make it fit more easily within Maya when modelling it.
Cart:
This cart also has an interesting design, and will be used as a miscellaneous object within the scene.
